PVE

Guild Wars 2 PVE will be revolutionary! There are so many things that GuildWars 2 has done with their persistent world that makes every other MMORPG's PVE side of the game look inferior. Love the current game you're playing, but the community is total crap? Won't have none of that in Guildwasr 2! ArenaNet made Guildwars 2's PVE not only douchebag free(no KSers, quest stealers etc), they have also made it interesting and Wall Of Text(WOT) free.

Guild wars 2 PVE Features :

No Kill Stealing/Kill stealers
This is usually what ruins games for thousands of MMORPG players, and newbies who are giving MMOs a try. Kill stealers. Some low level noob, or worse, high level noob, follows you around and starts attacking whatever you're attacking and usually they just stand behind you and let you take damage while they take your exp and taunt you.

How did ArenaNet fix the kill stealing problem? They made players of guildwars 2 automatically be "on the same side" with everyone else. It's like the whole server is one big party the moment you log in and start killing things. They designed the game to actually make you WANT people to "kill steal" you. There are zero downsides when people "killsteal" you because you get the same amount of exp and the same amount of loot no matter how many people KS your mobs. The only thing that changes is that you will have more fun because there are more people around you, unless you're some kinda emo person that wants to be alone or something. Also, bosses gain new skills and are tougher to kill the more people join in, so you can't abuse it by just camping a boss with hundreds of players because bosses do scale. Think Diablo 2 battlenet.

No WALLS OF TEXT to read
Guildwars 2 will not force you to read huge walls of text if you are into questing and lore. Guild Wars 1 has some really good lore, and because majority of players just "nexted" it, ArenaNet has come up with a great solution. ArenaNet has boasted about it several times, guild wars 2 will have 60 feature length films worth of voice acting. Of course you can still "next" it or just read it like normal, but a game with voice acting is usually a sign of a high quality game. Again, think Diablo 2, it's what made it stand out during it's time (ten years ago).

Questing and Exploring made fun
One of Guild Wars 2's biggest selling points, questing. If you're the type of player that just wants to PVE and quest, Guild Wars 2 should fulfill your needs and surpass your expectations. The questing here is AMAZING. Watch one of the videos posted here and check out your very first quest. Not even level 2 and you have a huge boss, with cutscenes and voice acting thrown in the mix. And that's just LEVEL 1 stuff.

Where other games have you kill ten rats or the basic fetch me some kobold ears, or high orc helmets, Guildwars 2 gives you a beautiful cutscene, a town under attack by centaurs (which you can all see actually happening) and a huge rock thing boss.

While exploring, you can see quests happen and can just start participating. No need to read anything. See a farm being raided by bandits? Kill the bandits! There are also in world items that you can use to help the with questing such as a pail of water (to put out fires started by bandits), and catapults, canons, balistas to help kill bosses. And the bosses in Guild Wars 2 are no pushovers, if you haven't already seen the huge dragon that takes 20+ mid level characters to kill.

Easily Form Parties
In Guild Wars 2, every class can heal and resurrect. You won't need to wait hours for a priest or druid so you can start running a dungeon or entering a specific area. That means less elitist healers that think they are gods and everyone should praise them so they'd join their parties!

If you and 2 other friends all wanted to play elementalists, 1 could take the "tank" role by selecting the earth element. The other could be the DPS, by selecting the fire element. And the other could be the healer, by selecting the water element. No cookie cutter parties here. You can even all be warriors and have one drop the totem thing that heals and buffs anyone in range.

Personality and Origin of your character
On other MMORPGs you're just some random mute "hero" that has boring lines, in guild wars 2 what you reply to the NPC is based off of your choices when you create your hero. And apparently you can also punch NPCs in the face if you're evil enough.

You first start off with either three of the personalites, which are "Charm" "Dignity" or "Ferocity". You can also select your origin, which affects your personal quests. The three origins available now are from Nobility, The Streets, or Common folk.

There is also a storyline selection, which will affect your personal story. The three available to us now from the demos (10/20/2010) My biggest regret is :
"I've never found my true parents"
"I've never found the body of my sister"
"I've never joined the circus"

Which will all give you special events later on in game.
